Gas Innovations, a world leading provider of high purity hydrocarbons, is seeking a dedicated Transportation & Logistics Manager to join their team in La Porte, TX. 

If you have at least 5 years of logistics operations and transportation management experience, Gas Innovations wants to hear from you! Gas, chemical, or industrial specific experience is highly preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, or related field preferred but not required.

Essential duties/responsibilities: 

• Oversee and manage daily transportation and logistics operations for cylinder, bulk, and packaged gas deliveries.  
• Lead the fleet management of drivers, routes, tractors, trailers, and related equipment.  
• Ensure compliance with all DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA regulations and company safety policies.  
• Utilize electronic tracking systems and communication tools to monitor fleet performance and ensure timely, safe deliveries.  
• Manage both long-haul and short spot-haul operations, balancing resources to meet customer and production needs.  
• Develop and manage budgets for all transportation and logistics functions, including fuel, maintenance, and labor costs.  
• Design, institute, and operate trucking programs that enhance efficiency, safety, and service levels.  
• Collaborate with operations, customer service, and sales to align logistics strategies with business goals.  
• Maintain all required documentation and records related to transportation and fleet compliance.  
• Train and lead a team of drivers and logistics personnel to uphold the company’s high standards for safety and performance.  
• Strong proficiency in Excel and digital asset tracking tools is essential for this role.
