Gas Innovations, a world leading provider of high purity hydrocarbons in the refrigerant, pharmaceutical, industrial, electronics, and agricultural chemical industries, is seeking a Vice President of Operations and Transportation to join their team in La Porte, TX. 

This is an executive leadership role that is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and strategic growth through efficient supply chain management, transportation logistics, and customer-focused service delivery.

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with Business experience in Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred). 
• 10+ years of experience in operations and transportation, preferably in the specialty gas or chemical industry. 
• Strong knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and EPA regulations. 
• Proven track record in strategic planning, operational execution, and logistics management. 
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Strategic Leadership: 
• • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company’s goals. 
  • Drive initiatives for process improvements, cost reduction, and operational growth potential. 
  • Collaborate with the executive team to support company growth and market expansion. 

• Operations Management: 
• • Oversee production, storage, and distribution of gases, ensuring quality and efficiency. 
  • Monitor and manage facility performance, safety standards, and environmental compliance. 
  • Implement manufacturing practices to optimize resources and output. 

• Transportation & Logistics: 
  • Direct the planning, execution, and optimization of transportation networks. 
  • Ensure timely and secure delivery of products to customers, including hazardous materials. 
  • Manage the fleet of vehicles, drivers, and third-party logistics providers. 
• Regulatory Compliance: 

• • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including DOT, OSHA, and EPA standards. 
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards for the handling and transportation of specialty gases. 

• Financial Oversight: 
  • Develop and manage budgets for operations and transportation. 
  • Analyze and report on financial performance, identifying cost-saving opportunities. 
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers, distributors, and logistics providers. 

• Team Development: 
• • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing operations and transportation team. 
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. 
  • Implement performance metrics to track and reward team success.
