City Carbonic, Oklahoma’s oldest CO2 gas supplier, is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their team in Oklahoma City, OK. 

If you have at least 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, and a high school diploma or GED, City Carbonic wants to hear from you! AR experience in the industrial or manufacturing sector is a plus. 

In this critical role, you will manage customer accounts, ensure timely payments, and provide exceptional support to maintain healthy cash flow. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications 

• Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred, but not required. 
• Experience:
  • 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, preferably in the industrial or manufacturing sector. 
  • Familiarity with the industrial gas industry is preferred but not required. 
• Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. 
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or equivalent) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. 
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail. 
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities. 

Essential duties/responsibilities: 

• Billing and Invoicing: Generate and distribute accurate invoices to customers based on contracts and sales agreements. 
• Payment Processing: Record and apply customer payments promptly and accurately in the accounting system. 
• Collections: Proactively monitor accounts to identify overdue payments and follow up with customers to ensure timely collection. 
• Account Reconciliation: Perform regular account reconciliations to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate records. 
• Customer Support: Address inquiries related to billing, payment discrepancies, or account details professionally and efficiently. 
• Reporting: Prepare regular aging reports and other accounts receivable metrics for management review. 
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and financial best practices. 
• Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and operations teams to resolve billing disputes or discrepancies.
