Applied Gas, a leading supplier of custom specialty gas mixtures, is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join their team in Danbury, TX.

Requirements:  

• High School diploma or equivalent. 
• Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment. 
• Possess or able to obtain a TWICS card 
• CDL B with Hazmat endorsement.  
• Possess or able to obtain a TWICS card  
• Familiar with procedures related to export shipments  
• Ability to read and comprehend safety data sheets  
• Basic mathematical skills  
• Proficient with MS Office applications  
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, speak, and hear.  
• Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines  
• Frequent standing, walking, using hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; may climb, bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch.  
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.  
• Ability to perform very heavy work, routinely lift 25lbs to 50lbs. Also required to push and pull liquid containers weighing up to 1000 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment.  
• Must be able to work outdoors at temperatures over 100 degrees. 

Essential duties/responsibilities: 

• Prepares shipping & receiving documents including packing slips, bills of lading and all other required paperwork.  
• Comply with safe operating procedures and work instructions  
• Load materials and products per designated shipping requirements.  
• Prepare cylinders for final shipment.  This includes high pressure cylinders.  
• Delivers product locally  
• Load and unload trucks   
• Drive/operate a forklift  
• Understand and interpret DOT markings on cylinders  
• Inspecting, identifying and sorting cylinders by product type and size  
• Organize the loading and storage areas in a safe manner  
• Control out of test cylinders both inbound and outbound  
• Collaborate with other associates to ensure orders are shipped on time  
• Perform other duties as assigned.
