Buckeye Welding Supply is expanding! Following our recent acquisition of Hico Distribution of Colorado, we are seeking a hands-on Store Manager / Customer Service Specialist to lead this location into its next chapter of growth. 

Historically known for excellence in balloon, helium, propane, and CO₂ distribution, this location is now integrating into Buckeye’s network to bring a full lineup of welding equipment, hardgoods, and industrial gases to local trade customers.

Requirements: 

• Industry Experience: Direct hands-on experience in welding, welding equipment sales, or industrial gas distribution is required. 
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of standard welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick, Oxy-Fuel), torch apparatus, safety gear, and compressed gases. 
• System & Computer Proficiency: Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office 365 and order entry systems. 
  • Direct experience with Computers Unlimited (CU) / TIMS ERP is strongly preferred. 
  • Strong Microsoft Office experience is preferred.  
• Retail & Operational Skills: Experience with store opening/closing procedures, inventory tracking, counter sales, and basic math/financial accuracy. 
• Communication & Flexibility: Strong interpersonal skills with a “wear-multiple-hats” mindset. 
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills and basic social media experience are a strong plus. 

Essential duties/responsibilities: 

Industrial & Welding Sales Leadership 

• Serve as the primary technical expert for walk-in and phone customers, recommending proper welding equipment, hardgoods, consumables, and industrial gas applications. 
• Drive sales growth by introducing Buckeye’s expanded industrial product lines to existing Hico accounts and new regional contractors. 
• Maintain pricing accuracy, promotional structures, and contract quotes within the ERP system. 

Branch Management & Daily Counter Operations 

• Manage daily store workflows, including opening the showroom (8:00 a.m.) or closing (5:00 p.m.) and maintaining a clean, professional retail front office. 
• Assist walk-in and phone customers with order entry, invoicing, returns, exchanges, and payment processing. 
• Oversee inventory management: restock shelves, maintain organized product displays, conduct basic cycle counts, and flag low stock levels. 
• Generate shipping labels, verify outgoing orders, and ensure accurate order documentation. 

Cross-Functional Team & Driver Support 

• Collaborate closely with Hico’s existing customer service team, gaining working knowledge of their balloon, helium, propane, and CO₂ product lines to ensure seamless team coverage. 
• Provide routine updates, order details, and logistical support to Hico delivery drivers. 
• Assist with store merchandising and local promotional efforts, including basic social media support (e.g., Instagram updates on new product lines or store promotions).
